ELIGIBILITY

  • VILIPO is open to all international and Lithuanian students aged 12 – 19.
  • Competitors will be divided into two age groups to ensure fair competition. Students aged 12-14 will compete within the Junior Division. Students aged 15-19 will compete within the Senior Division. This approach ensures a level playing field for all participants, with students competing against others in the same age group.
  • If a team consists of students from different age categories (e.g., one senior and one junior), they will be categorized as Senior Division participants, ensuring equitable competition.
  • All students under 18 must attend the VILIPO with an adult supervisor (a teacher, parent, or guardian). Students who are 18 or older and study in high school may participate without adult supervision. Our minimum age requirement for student participants is 12.
  • Supervisors can be anyone older than 20. During the competition, the supervisors cannot assist the student in any way.
  • The same project CANNOT be submitted in consecutive years without significant improvements.
  • Projects which are submitted to other organizations/fairs can be submitted without changes.
  • A valid application must be submitted (including other VILIPO fair-affiliated winners’ certificates) using the VILIPO application system.
  • The application and fee payment must be submitted by the deadline.
  • Projects cannot be presented online during on-site rounds.
  • Students must be present at the Olympiad to present their work in order to be eligible for a participation certificate or any awards.
  • The supervisor refers to any adult, such as a teacher, parent, adult sibling, or relative, who has the right to accompany the minor student at the Olympiad.

FEES

  • The application fee is €50 per project and is non-refundable. The application fee must be paid before the application deadline in order to complete your application. All applicants, including VILIPO Certificate winners, must pay the application fee. Projects without an application fee will not be considered for evaluation.
  • The participation fee is €650 per attendee (student or supervisor) who will attend the VILIPO, and €100 is non-refundable under any circumstances. The full amount of the participation fee must be paid before the registration deadline to guarantee your place at the VILIPO. Only 50% of the fee is refundable between April 1 and April 14, and there are NO refunds after April 14. All finalists and their supervisors must pay the participation fee. The participation fee covers accommodation, meals, a city tour, an airport shuttle, certificates, and medals during the events.
  • The guest fee is €800 per guest. Guests (additional project participants, such as additional supervisors, siblings, parents other than supervisor etc.) are allowed if space is available. The guest fee is €650 for those staying off-hotel arranged by VILIPO (in a hotel, they will pay the hotel fee and make the arrangements). In order to maximize the number of projects and student participation, we recommend only one adult supervisor (teacher/parent) for every 4 students from the same school/organization. The guest fee must be paid during registration. €150 is non-refundable under any circumstances. Only 50% of the fee is refundable after April 14. The guest fee covers meals, lodging (except for those not staying in the hotel arranged by VILIPO), city tours, and an airport shuttle.
